A Nashville engagement session does not have to be complicated to feel meaningful. H and C’s summer evening at Shelby Park is proof. With pizza, wine, and a picnic in the park, they spent the session doing what they love most: enjoying good food and spending time together. Their Nashville wedding is next summer, and I cannot wait to celebrate alongside them!
Because I have known H since college, getting to document this season for them made this session even more special.
A Relaxed Summer Session
Shelby Park was the perfect setting for their engagement photos. Located along the Cumberland River, the park offers open fields, walking paths, and beautiful natural scenery. For H and C, the goal was not to create a perfectly styled moment, but to spend an evening together doing things that already feel like them. They shared pizza, poured wine, laughed together, and explored the park as the summer sun started to set.
Their Story
H and C met at a bar and have built a relationship around simple traditions. Every Fourth of July, they start the day with breakfast at Waffle House, and together they love trying new restaurants, grabbing coffee, going on walks, watching movies, and exploring new places.
C’s proposal was just as personal. One morning after making coffee, he climbed back into bed, shared a few heartfelt words, and asked H to spend forever with him. Completely surprised (and still waking up!), she said yes.
Looking Ahead to Their Nashville Wedding
Their Nashville engagement session was the perfect way to celebrate this season before their wedding next summer. I am so excited to continue documenting their story and capture all of the meaningful moments that come next!
