About Audrey darke photography

take a look into my life, my passion for love, and my commitments to you.

Hi, I'm Audrey

she/her/hers

I am a destination wedding and elopement photographer based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am originally from the small college town of Lexington, Kentucky, but before long my family moved to Toronto, Canada. My most vivid memory from living there is being able to walk into our backyard and straight onto my neighbor’s ice rink, much better than any indoor ice rink I have come across. Fast forward a handful of years, we moved to Nashville where I finished up elementary school and attended high school. I am a graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a major in marketing with a concentration in entrepreneurship.

I am an avid reader, traveler, and learner. You can never go wrong with a cup of coffee and a good book. My cat, Finn, will take rare breaks in his energetic day to curl up with me – he is good company!

WHAT'S UNIQUE ABOUT WORKING WITH ME

I believe in

RESPECTING OUR WORLD AND ALL THOSE WHO LIVE WITHIN IT

honesty

I seek to create a safe space for us to engage authentically--for you to be your most authentic self, and for me to be mine. In order to do that, I practice open, honest, and proactive communication. I want you to feel educated and prepared for our time together, and if you don't, I want to give you the opportunity to ask any question under the sun.

inclusivity

I believe that love is love, and take joy in photographing love of all kinds. I seek to capture memories with couples of all sexualities, nationalities, and backgrounds. I also respect and value the diverse cultures I engage with during my travels. When you choose me as your photographer, you are choosing to uphold these values across all landscapes.

Responsibility

I practice Leave No Trace principles and try to give back to our community every way I can. In addition to donating a portion of my profits to organizations supporting Leave No Trace, mental health, and veterans, my family commits a donation to one non-profit each year. In 2021, we chose Room in the Inn.

LEAVE NO TRACE

Leave no trace is a set of ethics that focus on leaving the outdoors the same, if not better, than how we found it. I love helping build awareness with my couples and just everyone in general on how to best practice LNT when we are exploring and enjoying the outdoors! By practicing this and educating others we are coming together to keep nature safe and allow us to enjoy the same places 10+ years down the road!

LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY

Audrey Darke Photography is a safe space for all members of the LGBTQ+ community! All love is welcome here!

DO YOUR WEDDING YOUR WAY

THAT'S WHY WE DID IT TOO

Being in the wedding industry, I’ve seen so many ways to celebrate love—and it inspired me to craft our wedding journey in a way that felt perfect for us. We chose a 3-part celebration: part 1 in Rosemary Beach with all my favorite vendors to sign the paperwork, part 2 was an intimate elopement in Greece exploring Milos together for the first time, and part 3 was a weekend wedding celebration with our families. Your day can truly be anything you dream it to be, and don't let anyone tell you anything differently.

I got married in 2024, and we truly did it our way—something deeply personal to us while including the people who matter most, our family. Growing up in a large, tight-knit family, weddings were woven into the fabric of my life. By the time I was 15, I had attended more weddings than most adults ever will, and I absolutely loved them. My cousins’ weddings were (and still are) a highlight of my year. Celebrating someone’s love, to me, is one of the most beautiful and intimate experiences you can be invited to witness. It’s a profound act of trust—being asked to support, encourage, and nurture their relationship through the years to come.

I realize that everyone chooses to elope, have an intimate wedding or more traditional wedding for many different reasons, but I promise that when you choose to elope, have an intimate wedding or traditional wedding, for whatever reason, on that day and every day leading up to it (and after) I will not just be your photographer or elopement co-creator, I will become your friend. I will cheer you on. I will help you out when you need it. I will be a shoulder to cry on and I will be there on your big day to memorialize a day that truly is once in a life time.

I vow to empower couples to celebrate their relationship in a way that is uniquely them as they promise their lives to each other because this moment deserves to be meaningful and unforgettable. Where you get married matters; how you say your vows matters; and who you choose to spend the day with matters. Be intentional with every part of YOUR day.
