C + K reached out to me two weeks (yes you read that right!) before wanting to elope in the Florida Keys at the end of July! K mentioned she had been following along with my work since January and had convinced them to make the day unique and an all day adventure! I think we definitely accomplished that and so much more!

We started the day with them getting ready at their hotel where K got her hair and makeup done. Their hotel even had a private pool out the back door (how cool is that?!)! We grabbed a cab and headed to Fort Zachery Taylor and explored the ruins and when you climb to the top you can see the ocean on the horizon. We made our way to Smathers Beach where we almost had the beach to ourselves and C + K said their sweet vows to one another. We ended the day by getting on a sail boat and sailing around in the Gulf of Mexico to see one of the prettiest sunsets I have witnessed. We even saw some dolphins!

Capturing their day was such an incredible honor and truly an experience I will forever cherish. By the end of the evening if we would have asked anyone on the streets they would have said we were old college friends and it surely felt like that.

That is the relationship I want with all my couples and it always makes me so happy when I come across those relationships. There were so many highlights in their day that will make me never forget the time spent celebrating them, but one of my favorites was having the dolphins come right up next to the boat during our sunset cruise.
