NorCal rolled out its moody, dreamiest fog for A + C’s sunrise elopement. They began the morning cozy in a charming cabin, sipping coffee and savoring quiet moments together before the sun even peeked over the horizon. One of the most memorable parts of their day? Their first look in the headlights of their beloved Jeep — a vehicle that has carried them on countless adventures, from camping trips and slow mornings in Trinidad with coffee and pizza, to fishing excursions, evening walks, and plenty of game nights. It was the perfect way to start their elopement, combining intimacy with a nod to their shared love of adventure.
Their morning in Trinidad was more than just a wedding day — it was a reflection of their life together. From coffee-fueled mornings to slow afternoons exploring the Redwoods, their Trinidad, California, sunrise elopement captured their love of adventure, connection, and the quiet joy of simply being together.

We hiked in as the sky brightened to their coastal ceremony spot, and by the time we reached the beach, the cliffsides were wrapped in quiet mist. The atmosphere felt almost cinematic — perfect for a morning celebrating love.
C wore her iconic thrifted dress and a handmade veil, a style that perfectly reflected their laid-back, adventurous personalities. After exchanging vows, they read letters from family and friends — a touching moment that truly grounded the morning in love, reflection, and connection.

Their journey together has been full of adventures, from meeting at work to getting engaged at a waterfall during a fishing and camping trip with friends at Sly Park Campgrounds. A’s proposal was heartfelt and memorable: C recalls crying instantly, shaking with excitement, and later catching her first fish — a tiny Sunfish she’ll never forget.
Even though they had hiked part of the coastal trail before, the full sunrise hike felt new and exhilarating. And yes — a little wildlife joined in, as we spotted a snake on the hike back up. Every moment of their Trinidad, California, sunrise elopement felt like an adventure they had lived together before but somehow reinvented in the foggy morning light.

A + C’s favorite adventures often include playing games like Rummy, Dice Throne, and co-op games, along with Pokémon Go and evening walks. They also love camping whenever they can — something A grew up doing in Oregon and has continued to cherish even as life moves them forward.
Their first solo trip as a couple in Trinidad gave them a chance to slow down, soak in the Redwoods, savor local coffee and pizza, and celebrate each other without distraction. They ended their elopement at one of their favorite local coffee shops in Trinidad — the sweetest, most grounded way to close out a morning that already felt so them.
This elopement proves that intimate mornings, foggy cliffs, and personal touches like handwritten letters or Jeep first looks make a day unforgettable. If you’re dreaming of your own Northern California adventure elopement, consider exploring Trinidad State Beach or a nearby coastal trail — the foggy mornings are worth it.

Here is to a lifetime of adventure! From waterfall proposals to misty coastlines and Jeep-lit first looks, their Trinidad, California, sunrise elopement was a morning full of authenticity, love, and adventure. Here’s to all the sunrises, hikes, and game nights still ahead — may every adventure feel as magical as this foggy October morning.
