Wow what a wedding and an incredible way to start 2022 (I know I know it is the end of 2022 and I am just getting around to sharing 😅)!!! Kicking off my year with C + J was the BEST way to do it! The thing about the first weddings/events of the year is they set the tone for the rest of it. And believe me, I wouldn’t have wanted to start it any other way!

J + C met through mutual friends from college a few years after they all had graduated. C went to Alabama and J went to Auburn so as you can imagine they are BIG football fans and even bigger rivals. They love traveling and spending time with friends/family, but the majority of their time is spent spoiling their fur baby, Bennett. He is a pug shitzu mix and has the sweetest personality. These things ALL played a part of their wedding day, from the band that played at their reception to the accent signs that featured Bennett!

J and C (along with their wedding parties) got ready at separate houses in Watercolor during a cool and overcast February morning prior to going to Resurrection Catholic Church for their early afternoon ceremony.

A huge reason I will never forget their wedding is because of the friendship that was formed and their reception!

For music, C + J opted to have a live band, but not just any live band. The exact same band they both saw and listened to at the bars in Tuscaloosa and Auburn while they were in college. For those of you that are familiar with those bars, J told the band she wanted it to feel like 2014 at SkyBar in Auburn! How cool is that!?

Throughout the year, C + J have kept in touch. They frequent the Panhandle and when in town reach out to grab drinks so we get the chance to catch up. They also sent a holiday card and snail mail is fun!
