COLORADO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER // DURANGO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER // COLORADO ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS
When we started talking about T and J’s snowy couple’s session in Durango, Colorado, in late January, I knew it would be something special! These two have a history that’s pretty rare—neighbors growing up, best friends in middle school, and together since their freshman year of high school. Through long-distance college years, building a life together, and raising two spoiled cats, they’ve been through it all.
Durango didn’t disappoint—fresh snow covered the evergreens, crisp mountain air, and a quiet, peaceful winter atmosphere. We spent the evening soaking in the views, playing in the snow, and capturing a love that feels both easy and deeply rooted. T and J move together with a shared understanding and comfort that speaks to years of inside jokes and shared adventures.
One of their favorite memories is a five-day backpacking trip on the Colorado Trail from Silverton to Durango, during which T proposed inside their tent on night four. After enduring unpredictable storms and muddy trails, they ended up with some of their best memories.
Outside of mountain adventures, they stay active with skiing, paddleboarding, rafting, and planning climbing trips. But they also appreciate the simpler moments—game nights with friends, cooking together, and spoiling their cats.
Their session was full of laughter, twirls in the snow, and a warmth that no winter chill could touch. T and J, you’re a rare kind of couple, and I can’t wait to see where life takes you next!
