C + K are high school sweet hearts. I have know C + K since high school and K and I were good friends so I distinctly remember when they started dating and lots of good memories with them after that! K and I even spent several summers down in St. Augustine along with other friends during high school. Such good times!

There are a few things to consider when planning your Airbnb elopement in the Northeastern part of the United States. The first being WHERE do you want to elope. I know narrowing down where can be tricky so consider if there are any places you’ve been dying to go to, locations that have significance to you two as a couple, or restrictions on how far you want to travel. The second thing to consider is what TIME of year you would like to elope which can depend on a seasonal vision or a date that has some significance to you. Lastly, WHO do you want to invite to your elopement.

She now lives in Pensacola with E while he is doing his military training. J + E met while they were in college at UTK, but didn’t start dating until they re-connected after graduating. They talked for a whole summer before going on their first date to Asheville, North Carolina, then backpacking in the smokies, and ending up in Folly Beach, South Carolina. Talk about an amazing first date!

When M and I connected it was like we had known each other for ages! M is a photographer too so we had that in common plus M + P had recently moved to Seattle from Florida!

I was ecstatic when K reached out to me about doing photos for her and R. See K and I have known each other since college as we were sorority sisters at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. After graduation K moved to Atlanta where R plays baseball. It has been so fun keeping up with their travels over social media, but it was even sweeter to catch up in person.

C + K reached out to me two weeks (yes you read that right!) before wanting to elope in the Florida Keys at the end of July! K mentioned she had been following along with my work since January and had convinced them to make the day unique and an all day adventure! I think we definitely accomplished that and so much more!

I feel like Airbnbs are the best kept secret when it comes to planning an intimate elopement or minimony. Imagine sitting in a cabin, the morning light streaming through the tree into your windows, & warm coffee in your hand as you take a quiet moment to write your vows. The makeup artist arrives as you get ready in a room close enough to your partner that you can hear them laugh, but far enough that you won’t catch a glimpse of one another before your first look. Once you’re ready you step out onto a patio with panoramic views of the mountains, your closest loved ones teary eyed & giddy to watch you both commit your lives to one another. After the ceremony you enjoy cocktails outside & an intimate catered dinner. You end the night in your pajamas around the fire pit, stargazing while reflecting on your wedding day.

WOW WOW WOW these two! Early morning sessions can sometimes be hard (because of it being early), but C + M made it look easy. They came with smiles on their face and all the energy to run around the beach! We all defiantly bonded over our shared love of food I always jump at the opportunity to give recommendations of my favorite locally owned places so if you ever want some recs I’ve got you!
