So you decided you want to elope, but now what? There are so many gorgeous National Parks here in the United States to choose from and narrowing them down isn’t particularly easy. Don’t fret, I’m here to help ya! Some things to take into account are location, landscape, weather, and accessibility.  National Park landscapes are unmatched in beauty, which is exactly why they are protected and cherished areas. Beaches, mountains, deserts, cliffs, and literally ANYTHING your heart desires, there is a location to match. Let’s break it all down and talk about what to consider when picking the best National Park for your elopement.

Who knew Arkansas was so cool?!? I had never been before and I am so glad that K + H gave me the best reason to come here for the first time to explore. For their adventurous elopement none the less!

Even if your only references for what Italy is like are the Lizzie McGuire Movie & Letters to Juliet, you know this country is steeped in romance & culture. The pictures & movies simply don’t do Italy justice, I truly believe you have to see for yourself to really understand how breathtaking it is. In order to visit a place like Italy you need a few things: a valid passport, excellent walking shoes, a hearty appetite, curiosity, & a sense of adventure. There are so many different ways you can experience this country whether that’s the northern, central, or southern areas—each area offers something different.

Known for the Loch Ness Monster, bagpipes, castles and more; seriously SO MUCH more. Scotland is a remarkable country to elope in, you can explore historic cities and see phenomenal landscapes all in one day. The history of Scotland and the Clans is one of extreme interest, everywhere seems to be steeped in it. There honestly isn’t another place like it in the world and it’s not surprising that lovers of all walks of life are attracted to the cobblestone streets and rolling green mountains. Nearly everything is in close proximity and accessible by bus, train, or car; making the ease of travel a breeze.

There are some people that you just automatically connect with. Nick and Haley are some of those people. From the get go I felt like I had known them forever and knew that even afterwards we would be friends.

An elopement is so much more than an all day photo shoot or an exchange of vows, it’s an entire experience. The experience is only for you, so creating a true-for-you-day should be the foundation of everything in detail! People think that as a photographer, I’m just there to snap the photos, but I’m invested in every couple’s day as a whole and will do everything in my power to help make the day as special as you envisioned. It’s easy to get caught up in the looks of things and obvious elements of planning a wedding. Referred to as the Land of Fire and Ice and known for its glaciers, volcanoes and its rich history, from its unique activities to its incredible landscapes, Iceland is the perfect place for an epic adventurous elopement.

This Nordic island, although small, boasts some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world. The Ring Road encompases the whole of Iceland and takes approximately 12-13 hours to drive (you could drive around the entire country in about two days or even one if you don’t plan on stopping at all 😱)
