In the tranquil embrace of the blue hour, I had the absolute joy of hanging out with C + A, who are getting married at the Emerald Grand this September!

Last October, H and A embarked on a journey that was both deeply personal and profoundly beautiful, celebrating their love with an intimate elopement in Zion National Park. Their day was filled with meaningful moments, stunning landscapes, and a touch of their shared passion for Star Wars!

First, why choose New Mexico for your elopement?

Uhum where do I even start!? Southwest desert vibes, incredible history (hello, Santa Fe is the oldest city in the United states), and crazy-beautiful sunsets. Not enough? There are also rock formations, hot air balloons, and art districts. And lastly, New Mexico is full of wild landscapes similar to the surrounding states—except with half the crowds.

This place is so underrated. But hey, I’d rather keep this place as our little best-kept anyways! Let’s get into the details of planning your New Mexico elopement. 

Love has the power to bring magic into lives, and for C and D, their love soared to new heights as they tied the knot in an intimate spring elopement amid the stunning windmills of Palm Springs, California. The couple’s special day was filled with whimsy, romance, and an enchanting celestial theme, complete with a mesmerizing crescent moon arch adorned with a burst of colorful flowers. If you’re thinking about eloping in a beautiful place somewhere in the world you’ve undoubtedly come across the term “adventure elopement”. Despite being certain you want to do something out of the box for your wedding day, once again you’re being boxed in by this new term. Now you’re contemplating if you’d even define yourself as “adventurous”, trying to navigate where you fall into the spectrum of outdoorsy-ness, and getting lost in a sea of options. Enter ME. Your little beacon of light. Guiding you through the bullshit and confusion towards a day that is simply defined by: “doing-whatever-you-want-to-do elopement” (…I’ll work on a less wordy definition later)! 

J and N’s urban winter elopement at Race + Religious in the heart of New Orleans was nothing short of a lively and magical celebration! With the soulful sounds of a brass band filling the air, these two lovebirds embarked on a whimsical journey into marital bliss. The charming streets of the Big Easy set the perfect backdrop for their intimate gathering of two, and as they exchanged vows, you could feel the electric energy of the city adding an extra sprinkle of joy to their special day. It was a true New Orleans love story, filled with laughter, music, and a whole lot of heart!

As the golden sun dipped below the horizon, B and J found themselves on the sandy shores of the Florida Panhandle, surrounded by the Gulf breeze. With their companion C leading the way on the nature trail, we began their evening beach session, commemorating the beautiful memories they’ve built since they moved into the area in 2021.

Capturing C + J’s love once again!! I had the joy of getting to spend time with this pair as the sun rose through the trees of Piedmont Park along with S + B (who I was SO excited to finally meet!!). This delightful couple, whose journey I’ve been privileged to document since their engagement in 2021 and their beautiful wedding in 2022 at the Watercolor Inn, returned with even more radiance and their two beloved dogs in tow. J even brought the quilt that her mom had made for them as a wedding gift to us in the field!

I recently had the pleasure of capturing M and K’s love story amidst the stunning backdrop of Grayton Beach State Park, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of a blast!

Beneath the warm hues of a Destin sunset, I had the incredible privilege of capturing a love story that began in the hallways of their middle school during 7th grade. J + L’s journey from classmates to soulmates brought them to the picturesque jetties for a breathtaking engagement session! As the sun painted the sky with its golden brushstrokes, their love and affection for each other radiated. A beautiful chapter in a story that started long ago, now being etched against the backdrop of a setting sun and endless horizons.
