An elopement is so much more than an all day photo shoot or an exchange of vows, it’s an entire experience. The experience is only for you, so creating a true-for-you-day should be the foundation of everything in detail! People think that as a photographer, I’m just there to snap the photos, but I’m invested in every couple’s day as a whole and will do everything in my power to help make the day as special as you envisioned. It’s easy to get caught up in the looks of things and obvious elements of planning a wedding. Today, I’m going to share with you the little things that are often overlooked, from small details to unique experiences to make the most out of your elopement!

Referred to as the Land of Fire and Ice and known for its glaciers, volcanoes and its rich history, from its unique activities to its incredible landscapes, Iceland is the perfect place for an epic adventurous elopement.
This Nordic island, although small, boasts some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world. The Ring Road encompases the whole of Iceland and takes approximately 12-13 hours to drive (you could drive around the entire country in about two days or even one if you don’t plan on stopping at all 😱)

When you think elopement, what comes to mind? Traveling to the western United States to check out Zion or Yosemite? Going across the ocean to Ireland or Italy to run through endless fields and exceptional food?
GUESS WHAT?! We are overlooking a chain of islands right here in the United States where you can escape to an adventurous elopement filled with fun, good food, sunny weather and silky sand – the Florida Keys. The Keys are a string of 1,700 islands (🤯) that span over 120 miles off the southern tip of Florida in the Atlantic Ocean. These islands are known for their watersports, food, and history. Out of these many islands there is so much to explore and be done. I created a list of my top 5 cities in the Florida Keys that offer a unique experience: Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon, Big Pine Key, and Key West.

It always makes me so happy with couples are down for sunrise sessions, especially during the summer months when the beach is always so crowded during the day and specifically at sunset! Sunrise on the panhandle is the only time that you can truly get the beach mostly to yourself with the other few that decide to get up when the sun does!
S + C were up for it though. We met on the beach right before sunrise and dang it was a beautiful one!

What an incredible place! I connected with D on Instagram a few months prior to heading out to Wyoming to location scout and I am so glad we did! I even got to meet their two little girls and spend time with their family.
D & D met up with me right outside of Grand Tetons National Park before I headed into the park for the day. The previous day the sky was so clear and the landscape so prominent, but when I woke up this morning it was completely foggy and there was a chill in the air. I was a little worried that the fog would hide the mountains too much, but I think it turned out to be a beautiful morning and even cleared up as the morning went on!
