When we started talking about T and J’s snowy couple’s session in Durango, Colorado, in late January, I knew it would be something special!  These two have a history that’s pretty rare—neighbors growing up, best friends in middle school, and together since their freshman year of high school. Through long-distance college years, building a life together, and raising two spoiled cats, they’ve been through it all.

Okay, let me just say—snowy couple sessions are straight-up magical! Add a golden sunset, tons of laughter, and a little adventure, and you’ve got something special. E and N’s session in northern New Mexico was precisely that. We hiked to the most gorgeous snowy spot, surrounded by towering trees and crisp winter air. As the sun set, these two ran through the snow, laughing and playing, soaking up the moment.

Winter might just be my new favorite season for couple sessions, and J and K’s shoot is the perfect example of why! The serene beauty of the snow-covered landscape, the cozy vibes of winter fashion, and the golden glow of a sunset make for incredibly romantic time. Plus, there’s something extra special about braving the cold together.

I had the absolute joy of photographing D and M’s engagement session in gorgeous San Diego, California, and let me tell you—it was a total dream! These two are such dear friends. We first met a few years ago in Florida, and even though life has taken us to different corners of the country—me in New Mexico and them soaking up the sun in Southern California—we’ve stayed close. That made this session feel even more special! We’d been chatting about doing their engagement photos for a while, and this end-of-summer trip was the perfect chance to make it happen.

Sometimes, the most unexpected weather brings the most magical moments. That’s exactly what happened during L and B’s summer couple session at Luke’s property. As I was driving over, the rain poured down, but then, as if by magic, a double rainbow appeared, arching over the sky. It felt like a good omen for the evening ahead!

Buckle up, because B + A took “wild” to a whole new level! Out in the heart of the desert, they brought their vintage bronco, their trusty campsite-on-wheels, and their dirt bikes for an adrenaline-packed session that’s like something out of a rockin’ adventure movie. With dust kicking up around them, they looked like the ultimate desert daredevils – conquering the landscape with a flair that’s just plain awesome. Imagine it: the sun dipping low, casting a warm glow on their laughter as they posed by the bronco and revved up those dirt bikes. It’s like they’re writing their own desert anthem, and the cacti are dancing along. From the sandy trails to the starlit campfire, this session was like a high-five to all things wild and free.

Summer evenings in Laguna Beach, Florida are SO special – especially for the couples who love to hit the waves (with boards or their bodies)!

Surfing and swimming together in the warm, summer water is an escape from the pesky humidity that hangs around the area especially this time of year. M + A love the peacefulness that the sound of waves provide and cherish the moments spent together in the muted evening light.

Waking up for sunrise is hard, but if you have a great reason then it’s definitely worth it! Z and M love to surf at sunrise, it’s one of their favorite things to do and I love that I just happened to capture them doing it, even if just a little! They love catching the waves early and watching the sun come up as they glide along. It’s so peaceful and special, and it’s something that they both love to do together.

B, C and I had an amazing time in the scenic desert of Palm Springs! It seems like a no brainer to take advantage of the stunning landscape and the complete quite the desert has to offer while in California. Not to mention the fact that the B + C looked amazing – B in his white shirt with dark slacks and C in her exquisite Rue De Seine dress, they were a vision! This unique combination of classic and modern elements created a beautiful space to capture their energy and love.

I met D and D two summers ago in when I was roadtripping from Seattle, Washington to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We connected back then and I did photos for their sweet family (and it was significantly warmer!).
