ROSEMARY BEACH WEDDING // FLORIDA ELOPEMENT // 30-A WEDDING
I can’t believe it’s already been a year since our legal elopement in Rosemary Beach. It feels like it was just yesterday, but looking back, I can say every single moment of that day was so us. From the night before, celebrating with friends, to the sweet, quiet moments in one of the prettiest places we were lucky enough to call home, it was the kind of day we’ll never forget!
We started our celebration the night before with a cozy New Year’s Eve party at our home, surrounded by our closest friends. It felt like the perfect way to welcome the new year! We shared laughter, enjoyed drinks, and truly embraced the excitement of what tomorrow would bring. It was relaxed, fun, and everything we could have imagined!
The morning of our elopement was full of love and messages from family and friends. We got tons of texts, videos, and well wishes, and it was so heartwarming to know that, even though we were keeping it intimate, our loved ones were celebrating with us from afar.
We worked with some of my absolute favorite local vendors to bring our vision to life. They helped make the day unforgettable!
I wore a jacket as we drove to Rosemary Beach to keep my entire outfit a surprise for W. When we arrived at Rosemary Beach, we did our first look—and it was so sweet! There’s something so special about seeing your partner for the first time on such a special day. We signed our paperwork, exchanged rings, and took a moment to realize that this was happening and all our planning had come together!
After our quick ceremony, we spent almost two hours exploring Rosemary Beach with Gracie Wurtz Photography. Gracie is an absolute gem, and we had so much fun wandering through the charming streets and enjoying the peaceful vibe of the beach.
Then came one of the most personal touches of the day: we ate the tiramisu we made the night before. A few years ago, we had the best tiramisu of our lives in Italy, and ever since, we’ve been on a mission to find one just as good. This year, we decided it was time to make it ourselves—and it turned out perfect! We popped champagne into thrifted glasses, used no-mess poppers, and celebrated in the best way possible.
To wrap up the day, we had dinner at Restaurant Paradis with two of our closest friends, who came all the way from Alabama to be our witnesses. It was the perfect way to end the day!
For the next three days, we mini-mooned along 30-A. We rode bikes through Alys Beach, explored the surrounding towns, and had beach picnics. The weather was perfect, the sunsets were stunning, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to unwind. It was a dream.
Florida had been home for us during this time, so it felt extra special to celebrate our love in a place that meant so much to us.
Looking back on our legal elopement, I’m just so grateful for how everything came together. It was our way, and it was perfect. But this wasn’t the end of our wedding festivities. In April, I’ll share all the details about our elopement abroad in Greece. And in June, we celebrated with our family at a state park that was just as unique and special as our elopements. Stay tuned for all the fun details coming soon!
I’m so thankful for this beautiful chapter in our lives, and I can’t wait to see what this next year has in store for us!
