If you’re looking for a unique and romantic way to tie the knot, then look no further than the Santa Monica Pier in Southern California. Last spring, one couple decided to exchange their vows at this iconic location, surrounded by the beautiful Pacific Ocean and the stunning backdrop of the California coastline.

Introducing the Weisers! J and J’s wedding was a day that they will remember forever and it was such an incredible start to their marriage! From the sentimental moments and details to the exciting energy from their wedding party, the day was one for the books. 

I met D and D two summers ago in when I was roadtripping from Seattle, Washington to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We connected back then and I did photos for their sweet family (and it was significantly warmer!).

Overcast days are some of my favorites. It is less bright outside which = no squinty eyes, it creates soft light on your skin, and it seems that there are less people out and about! And that is exactly what we got during this week day session near San Francisco with D + M. We could not have asked for better weather. The clouds made it moody and the weather was the perfect temperature.

My time with R + L was short, but so full! We started the afternoon with getting ready at the AirBnB where Marla came to do L’s hair and makeup. We got to sit around, chat and hear R + L’s story!

It’s probably safe to assume that if you’re looking to elope outdoors you care about the preservation of nature. You know to respect wildlife and your surroundings, but what else? I’m happy to report that it doesn’t take much more than awareness and educated choices to have an environmentally conscious elopement! There are simple switches you can implement and basic guidelines that can minimize your impact on the area you’re choosing to say “I do”. Truly, you can have the wedding of your dreams, at a once-in-a-lifetime destination, all while feeling empowered and proud of your decisions to make it a reality. 

Imagine a date night with your person that includes a vintage car, a sunset view from Malibu cliffs, and beautiful florals! That is what C + S did on a Wednesday night in February. It is nice and sometimes necessary to take a break in the chaos of life and work to reconnect and breathe. After finding the perfect pull off, with views facing the west, we hoped out of the car to experience the quite up there. My favorite part of this evening was that after the sun had set and blue hour was upon us, we turned on the headlights for C + S to dance to their favorite song as the last of the light left us.

What a day!! Beach house weddings are so special and different than others. Not just because of how the space is transformed from rental house to wedding venue, but because of how everyone comes together to pull it off. For A + S’s wedding, family and friend alike were helping prior to kicking off the day when other guests arrive!

Imagine waking up to the sound of the waves, being surrounded by your loved ones and the buzz of excitement as you get ready, the feeling of butterflies and warm sand between your toes as you walk up the aisle, and sealing your forever promises with a sea salt kiss. Then at the end of the night once all the champagne has been popped and the light of the day is gone, everyone will trade their fancy attire for comfy clothes. You’ll all gather around a beach fire to reminisce about the day. THAT is an iconic Florida beach house wedding. And it could be yours. 

Sometimes, in life, you just meet people you click with. H and M are two of those people. They are phenomenal, kind, and so sweet to be around. I cherish all the time I had with them this afternoon and it could not have been better!
