The Big Easy, N’Awlins, NOLA, Paris of the South, Crescent City – a few of the colorful nicknames for New Orleans – is known for its food, music, history, Mardi Gras festivities and happens to be one of my favorite cities! I have been to New Orleans too many times to count and I always find something new and exciting to try. If you choose to have an urban elopement in New Orleans, there are so many things you can incorporate into your day that are unique to the city, from second line parades to muffalettas! 

I so often feel that the east coast of the USA is so overlooked when it comes to elopements. It isn’t just the western USA that has stunning landscapes and exciting cities! Some of the couples that I work with have the most outgoing personalities once you they get comfortable with me and we laugh the entire second half of the session 🤩 I met B + J while photographing J’s sisters wedding in 2020 so when I was asked to do another sisters wedding I couldn’t say no! J is one of 4 girls and so am I so it made it even more special to now be asked to do 2/4 girls weddings.

They both have a sweet tooth, which I mean who doesn’t sometimes, so we bonded over our love of sweet treats! I am so incredibly excited to celebrate them with their family in friends this coming November!

Nicole and Ryan reached out to me in late October about eloping in the Florida Keys the following month, November. Their plans were to fly into Fort Lauderdale and drive down (which I highly recommend, the drive is beautiful!). Originally they were supposed to have their elopement ceremony in August in Alaska where they live and where Nicole has her own dog grooming business (if you want to check her out you can HERE!), but with trying to coordinate families and COIVD on top of that they put it off and booked flights to Florida!

I distinctly remember the first time getting on the phone with K to talk about the vision for their day and what they were looking for in a photographer. From my first time talking with her I knew that we were going to be a good fit. K is one of the sweetest people I have met. She and Q put so much effort into their day and all the details. Although their original venue shut down and COVID being adamant to mess plans up they didn’t let any of that ruin their day. The love they have for the other is evident in everything they do and you could especially hear it in their vows. Congrats to the the Gs!
