Waking up early to watch the sun rise from a desert landscape is one of the most magical experiences a couple can have. And when it comes to a romantic elopement among the stunningly unique Joshua Trees, you know it’s going to be a day to remember!

It’s been a dream of J + H’s for years – to elope to Joshua Tree National Park and exchange their vows at sunrise! Early last year, we made the dream a reality!

When you think of eloping, you usually think of a beach or a mountaintop. But why not a city? Dublin, Ireland is the perfect urban destination for a couples elopement.

The charming cobblestone streets and classic architecture make for a romantic, timeless backdrop. Plus, there are plenty of places to explore around the city. From the Guinness Storehouse to the National Gallery of Ireland, there’s something for everyone!

Okay you’ve decided to elope abroad, now all you have to do is plan the most epic day(s) of your lives! As amazing and fun as eloping sounds (which it will be) making your dreams a reality comes with its own unique set of challenges. The where, when, with who, and how of it all. If you’re looking for a unique and romantic way to tie the knot, then look no further than the Santa Monica Pier in Southern California. Last spring, one couple decided to exchange their vows at this iconic location, surrounded by the beautiful Pacific Ocean and the stunning backdrop of the California coastline.

My time with R + L was short, but so full! We started the afternoon with getting ready at the AirBnB where Marla came to do L’s hair and makeup. We got to sit around, chat and hear R + L’s story!

It’s probably safe to assume that if you’re looking to elope outdoors you care about the preservation of nature. You know to respect wildlife and your surroundings, but what else? I’m happy to report that it doesn’t take much more than awareness and educated choices to have an environmentally conscious elopement! There are simple switches you can implement and basic guidelines that can minimize your impact on the area you’re choosing to say “I do”. Truly, you can have the wedding of your dreams, at a once-in-a-lifetime destination, all while feeling empowered and proud of your decisions to make it a reality. 

Sometimes, in life, you just meet people you click with. H and M are two of those people. They are phenomenal, kind, and so sweet to be around. I cherish all the time I had with them this afternoon and it could not have been better!

The two days that I spent with V + D up in the Isle of Skye in Scotland exceeded all of my wildest dreams! Getting to know these two and capture their love was truly such an honor. V is originally from Russia and D from Italy! V lived in the states for sometime, which is where she started her professional wedding photography career! Throughout the years she started doing more destination work which lead to her meeting her now husband while she was photographing a wedding in the UK in 2019! How incredible is that?! Their love story is the kind that novels are written about and they knew from the first moments that they were for each other. V + D faced with my trails during the start of their relationship with being long distant (UK to the US!) and then the pandemic hitting, but they showed everyone that they could (and did!) make it work. When you know you know.

Running around the streets of Dublin for the first time with I + I was incredible!

Getting to see somewhere for the first time with my couples is a dream come true and even more so when it is their first time too! Something that only we get to share. Although the streets were busy with on lookers and shop goers we found bits of quite that we could carve out for ourselves on this overcast day.

Imagine the city in the morning: people are taking their pets for walks before work or getting their daily exercise in. There is the quite bustle of activity while the city is waking up.
